I'm infected. :( With SPRING FEVER!!! =D Seeing as how the weather is warming up I've been going crazy wanting to make something. I'm currently enrolled in a pattern making class where we haven't really made anything... xD All sorts of craziness right?? At least now I know how to make my own clothes from scratch... Making nothing in class meant that I had to make something on my own. Since the "end of term" beast was breathing down my neck, there wasn't a lot of time to make something big, so I opted for something smaller. =D
A WALLET!!!
Found this super simple and easy pattern in a Japanese Quilting magazine and thought I'd give it a go. Some proportions were slightly off, but with some finagling, it worked out. =D Since spring fever was totally kicking my trash, I decided to do this project by hand stitching everything.  Hand stitching is extremely satisfying, and it turned out super cute!

Sewing doesn't have to be complicated or fancy to look good! All it takes is a desire to make something and the patience to do it right. With the right tools and training, it doesn't take very long. Sometimes the mistakes can even make it better!

Stitching out, until next time! ;)

  1. Oooh, cute! You'll have to show me how you made it... I agree - sometimes a "mistake" can become something entirely new and wonderful. But I'd have to see if I could do it by machine (Urgh.. hand-stitching!)
